Verdict: Buy-if. A recurring Reviewed pick for single-monitor setups on a tighter budget or a smaller desk. The 32-inch width is the tradeoff, it will feel tight with two monitors, but for one screen plus a keyboard it is one of the more affordable ways in.

• Heavy dual-monitor setups: the Rocelco and the WorkFit-TL both list 40 lbs, the most here. Ergotron adds that its monitor kits cut the WorkFit-TL’s capacity by 7 lbs for a single kit and a further 10 lbs for a dual kit.
• Shallow desks: Rocelco says the DADR-40 rises straight up and needs 23 inches of depth, so it will not push into your lap as it rises.
• Warranty: FlexiSpot is the only one here that states its terms on the product page, 5 years on the frame and 3 on the gas spring. Ask the seller for the others.
• Price check on the WorkFit-TL: Reviewed put it around $400, but ErgoDirect listed the black model (33-406-085) at $579 when we checked. Shop around before you settle.
